not your normal thanksgiving

I had what I guess you could call not your normal thanksgiving. No real hoards and hoards of food. Not that I wanted hoards and hoard of food. LOL. Um, just that there was none of that. EK! Let me start from the beginning. That might help. Thanksgiving is normally spent with family and well, enjoying food while u do that. My family went to go attend a wedding in NC. So, my thanksgiving was pretty much them packing and me watching and giving suggestions. We had pani puri for our Thanksgiving dinner. I like pani puri so it was great for me! I opted out of the wedding else I would have went as well, but didn't feel like it and it was slightly distant family so I actually had an option not to go. I am glad I didnt. So thursday flew by watching the fam prepare. They left Friday morning. I didn't really shop black friday in the morning but did venture out at night and got some things. W/out the mad rush so was happy about that. Saturday, my friend and I went into the city for dinner and then we went to a lounge afterwards. Wasn't bad. Good crowd just not that variety in the music. Sunday, just slept and cleaned up and did some chores. And there you have it - Thanksgiving weekend. Like I siad, not your normal thanksgiving. But I liked it just the same...We did make it a point to mention multiple times that we should remember to be thankful for all we have! If you aren't thankful & grateful for what you have, you may not have anything at all remaining eventually...That's how karma works in my head!! Happy Late Thanksgiving to all !!
