Saw this movie the weekend it was released and paid the extra few bucks to watch it in 3D. Good idea b/c it was great fun watching it in 3D.
The movie was beautiful both in effects and story line. It got a bit long the part before the end and bits could have been left out, but that's just me!
I absolutely loved how Na'vi lived in tune with nature. How they respected the animals and surroundings. I don't recall them eating anything but im sure they treated whatever they ate with just as much devotion and respect. Their faith and trust in their Eywa gave me goosebumps. It was cool how the Na'vi were more open to the avatars than the so called educated forward thinking humans were open to the Na'vi.
And my my, how lucky is Neytiri - meeting Jake Sully and his openness to learn and get enthralled in their way of life (even tho initially he was looking out for his legs - we're all human after all) How could you stay immune to Jake Sully...
Will be rewatching on blu-ray.

I also liked this movie a lot... much more than I expected to (I'm not a huge James Cameron fan). Very complete. I agree about the Na'vi and their respect for nature. We are so caught up in things that aren't important. Simplicity is wonderful and it would be nice to get back to basics.
