So lately, been questioning the whole love theme. Is there such a thing as selfless love? Is it possible for someone to love you more than you love yourself? How could someone know what is good for you other than yourself? How can anyone possibly know how to match you stride for stride without ever missing a beat? And further, you’ve grown up knowing who you are, hopefully maturing in such a manner that you’re proud of – is it possible to meet someone who took just as much quality care for their soul as you did? And if you do, will you be wise (lucky?) enough to recognize it?
Good health, good career, good family and friends aside, I have come to believe that God’s unmatched gift is granting you the privilege of meeting, recognizing, and spending your life with the one whose soul was made for you.
…and it appears as though he’s quite stingy with that gift. lol
I hope those that have been presented this appreciate it properly.

I find that love is a complex tapestry of colors. It's kind of like the tides... at times I totally appreciate my loved ones and at other times I am only into myself. It's a constant struggle. But even when I'm in good form, love-wise, it exhibits itself in different ways: words sometimes, actions sometimes, just silently sitting by your friend sometimes.
There is nothing like losing that love from another that makes you realize how important it was. One often doesn't recognize a great thing till it's gone.
Thanks for the thoughtful post Dolly, I am going to try to better appreciate what I have.
Well said. Luckily, I haven't lost love. I just want to be able to recognize it when I see its true form. :)
