"What's the most resilient parasite? An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules. Which is why I have to steal it. "

lazy
This year has been pretty bad with personal posts, I admit. It's not that I haven't had reflective thoughts, just been lazy. The amt of thoughts and feelings and inward and outward reflections have hit the roof, but just can't seem to channel them into written (typed!) words. It's too much! lol And just don't have that much time perhaps. I'm at work after working till after midnight last night...and I'm still working to finish up stuff before 10am's meeting. (im typing this as i have something running) I swear, I'm coasting after that..hahaa.
Fantastic morning today...Got me a melon madness fruit smoothie.

Love and being vulnerable
“There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket–safe, dark, motionless, airless–it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.”

Vulnerability
“When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability… To be alive is to be vulnerable.”

The Blind Side
Now, I don't know much about sports, nor do I know enough about college sports scouting. But, what I do know is this movie touched my heart. Yeah, sure you can summarize it if you want as the white rich folks with a lot of time helping the poor big black dude. But it's beyond that...I think it all just spawned from someone trying to look after someone walking in the cold. And the fact that this movie is based on a real story is even more uplifting...Yay!
Greed
"...The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind..."
